the maker's Ragg Wool and Leather Gloves are a perennial favorite among our customers for the excellent insulation and warmth they provide. Ragg wool is a traditional workwear/gardening wool blend. Wool has excellent moisture-wicking and heat-retention properties, even when wet, and the addition of nylon in the yarn allows for shape retention & durability. The palm is cut from deerskin that is sourced from state-sanctioned wildlife control. The palm is then cut & sewn in Brooklyn, NY. All cuff hems are sewn with an elastic thread to help retain cuff shape even after handwashing. Small details like this make these gloves an essential piece of cold-weather gear.
